At Lifescale Analytics we help achieve datadriven decision by leveraging strategic technologies to create innovated solutions that ultimately help our clients to navigate their everchanging data have an opportunity for a Data Architect prefer candidates to reside in Melbourne FL but open to remote work in the following states: Florida (FL) Georgia (GA) Minnesota (MN) North Carolina (NC) Ohio (OH) South Carolina (SC) Tennessee (TN) Texas (TX) or Virginia (VA). Note: Relocation expenses are not covered by the employer/client. We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable secure data systems supporting missioncritical analytics in a government environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise data architecture modern data platforms and regulatory requirements in the public sector.

Applicants responding to this position must be a US Citizen and will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information. Must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.

The Employer will not sponsor applicants for any employment visas at hiring or in the future including but not limited to H1B EAD or OPT visas. CorptoCorp or subcontract personnel will not be considered for this position

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 68 years of experience in data architecture or a senior data engineering role
  • Proven experience working with largescale datasets including structured and unstructured data
  • Experience supporting data solutions in government or highly regulated industries
  • Expertise in data modeling tools ETL/ELT pipelines and relational and NoSQL databases
  • Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming/scripting languages (Python Java etc.
  • Familiarity with data privacy and security frameworks (e.g. FISMA FedRAMP NIST 80053
  • Strong understanding of cloud data services (e.g. AWS Redshift Azure Synapse BigQuery Snowflake)
  • Experience implementing enterprise data lakes data mesh or data fabric architectures
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau Power BI Looker etc.
  • Handson experience with metadata management and data catalog tools (e.g. Alation Collibra)
  • Ability to acquire a Secret Security clearance and acquire and maintain government identification/common access card (CAC). Preferred if candidates currently hold an active Secret Security Clearance or higher
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract. Note that any usage and detection of cannabis with or without a prescription will result in a failed clearance regardless of the legalization under State Laws.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to security clearance requirements.


Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Science or a related field (Preferred)
  • Masters degree or certifications in data architecture cloud platforms or data governance (e.g. CDMP TOGAF AWS Certified Data Analytics)

Additional Provisions:

  • Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
  • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.
