At Lifescale Analytics we help achieve datadriven decision by leveraging strategic technologies to create innovated solutions that ultimately help our clients to navigate their everchanging data have an opportunity for a Data Architect prefer candidates to reside in Melbourne FL but open to remote work in the following states: Florida (FL) Georgia (GA) Minnesota (MN) North Carolina (NC) Ohio (OH) South Carolina (SC) Tennessee (TN) Texas (TX) or Virginia (VA). Note: Relocation expenses are not covered by the employer/client. We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable secure data systems supporting missioncritical analytics in a government environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise data architecture modern data platforms and regulatory requirements in the public sector.
The Employer will not sponsor applicants for any employment visas at hiring or in the future including but not limited to H1B EAD or OPT visas. CorptoCorp or subcontract personnel will not be considered for this position
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and optimize data architecture frameworks and strategies to support largescale data ingestion processing and analytics
- Lead data modeling efforts (conceptual logical and physical) for enterprise systems and data lakes
- Define and enforce data governance metadata management data quality and security standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders engineers analysts and project managers to understand requirements and translate them into data architecture solutions
- Guide the implementation of cloudbased data platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and modern data warehousing technologies
- Ensure solutions meet compliance requirements especially within federal and state government environments
- Develop and maintain documentation for data standards architecture and integration flows
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to data engineering and analytics teams
- Create enterprise information/data views. Gather and analyze information and data to generate new or enhance existing enterprise views to convey asis and tobe architecture.
- Provide strategic information and data/architectural service. Research and analyze specific capabilities or technology areas including but not limited to semantic technologies robotic process automation machine learning and artificial intelligence.
- Assist with determining opportunities to increase efficiency improve information sharing and reduce costs within the EA environment.
- Assist with the standardization reduction and simplification of capabilities and information technology assets based on mission needs resource constraints advances in technology and planning within the IT industry and the Federal environment.
- Additional responsibilities as the manager/PM or client request
Requirements
Qualifications
- 68 years of experience in data architecture or a senior data engineering role
- Proven experience working with largescale datasets including structured and unstructured data
- Experience supporting data solutions in government or highly regulated industries
- Expertise in data modeling tools ETL/ELT pipelines and relational and NoSQL databases
- Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming/scripting languages (Python Java etc.
- Familiarity with data privacy and security frameworks (e.g. FISMA FedRAMP NIST 80053
- Strong understanding of cloud data services (e.g. AWS Redshift Azure Synapse BigQuery Snowflake)
- Experience implementing enterprise data lakes data mesh or data fabric architectures
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau Power BI Looker etc.
- Handson experience with metadata management and data catalog tools (e.g. Alation Collibra)
- Ability to acquire a Secret Security clearance and acquire and maintain government identification/common access card (CAC). Preferred if candidates currently hold an active Secret Security Clearance or higher
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract. Note that any usage and detection of cannabis with or without a prescription will result in a failed clearance regardless of the legalization under State Laws.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to security clearance requirements.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Science or a related field (Preferred)
- Masters degree or certifications in data architecture cloud platforms or data governance (e.g. CDMP TOGAF AWS Certified Data Analytics)
Additional Provisions:
- Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
- Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.
