Job Description
Introduction
National packaging company in Cape Town (Western Cape) requires Electrical Design Engineer (Motion Control Specialist) with BSc / BEng / BTech: Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering and at least 4years packaging experience in motion control automation application and commissioning of such control systems and experience in PLC automation design and commissioning of control systems. You must also have programming experience using Siemens TIA Portal (essential).
Alternate programming software knowledge including CODESYS Allen Bradley Compact Logix Delta ISP Soft B&R Automation Studio and one to two years experience in electrical circuit design on Eplan platform would be added advantage.
You will be responsible for detailed electrical circuit design according to prescribed design standards PLC program automation design to machine requirements electrical testing and commissioning of packaging equipment and the creation and updating of all relevant documentation.
You will be required to travel nationally and internationally from time to time to visit clients.
