As a Dispatch Road Freight Planner you will be responsible for coordinating road transport ensuring efficient and safe transit of goods. As Road Freight Planner you will be responsible for:
- Transport Coordination: Manage the transport process from start to finish including planning and organizing trucks for the transportation of goods.
- Documentation: Prepare and verify transport documents such as CMRs truck manifests and customs documentation.
- Communication: Act as a point of contact for drivers carriers and clients; maintain good relationships with all stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve logistical issues that may arise during transportation.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations related to transport and logistics.
Requirements
- Education: A bachelors degree in logistics transport management or a related field is required.
- Experience: Proven experience in the logistics sector preferably in a role as a freight forwarder or transport planner.
- Languages: Good command of Dutch French and English is a plus.
- Skills: Strong organizational and problemsolving skills as well as excellent communication abilities.
- Process Improvement Focus: Strong interest and experience in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within transport operations.
- Computer Skills: Good knowledge of logistics software and Microsoft Office (Excel Word); experience with ERP systems is an asset.
- Customer Focus: Strong customeroriented mindset with the ability to understand and respond to customer needs. Able to perform well under pressure.
