Electrical Maintenance Technician

We have opportunities for Electrical Maintenance Technicians to join our Maintenance team in Wrexham on a 5 team shift rota. The role will be at our production facility and involve the following:

Qualifications/Experience

Electrical

• PLC Instrumentation and Electronic drives.
• Using software to interface or diagnose faults on plant and machinery.
• Maintenance on large AC and DC motors.
• Machine and Plant lock off procedures

Duties/Responsibilities

• Risk assessment and safety awareness guarding of machinery legislation.
• Developing and implementing modifications to improved reliability of plant and machinery.
• Working as a team with manufacturing and maintenance colleagues.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Working to a continuous shift pattern with necessary overtime to cover holidays.
• Adherence to Health & Safety with absolute priority.
• Lifting and handling plant and machinery components using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• MS Office or equivalent.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Minimum of BTEC ONC level in Mechanical Electrical or Electronic Engineering or proven experience.

The Person

Time served with experience in all aspects of electrical maintenance engineering.

• Completed a recognised certificated industrial apprenticeship in Electrical Maintenance.
• Significant experience in an industrial maintenance field.
• Selfstarter proactive prepared to take the initiative and work without direct supervision.
• Work well under pressure.
• Practical approach.
• Team player.
• Flexible attitude to overtime and shift cover

Working Hours and Benefits

• Average working week of 36.5 hours
