Job Description
Qualified applicants must have a Masters degree in any of the following fields but the order in which the degrees are listed will be the order of preference: Master of Arts in English/Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and certain other M.F.A degrees that include literary study. Advanced Degrees in Education such as Masters or Ph.D. with a significant concentration in collegelevel English or composition. Experience using technology or a strong willingness to engage students through the use of technology required.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience teaching diverse student populations and addressing equity gaps. Demonstrated experience working with English language learners in an instructional capacity. Demonstrated experience teaching Communication Studies and Mass Media courses. Demonstrated experience teaching within a community college. Bilingual or other language proficiency.
