HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
We invite you to apply and live in Ketchikan Alaska The Salmon Capital of the World.
We are seeking a forwardthinking dynamic and approachable leader to fill the position of Human ResourcesManager. This position directs manages supervises and coordinates the activities and operations of the Human Resources Division within the City Managers Office. Assumes responsibility for human resources policy development and administration human resources program legal compliance recruitment and employment programs benefits administration classification and compensation system administration performance evaluation consulting employee development programs employee relations workplace safety employee services and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the City Manager.
The ideal applicant will be handson and diplomatic with excellent customer service skills. Regular fulltime with an annual salary range of $103582.32 $139510.44 DOQ plus benefits which includes3weeks of vacation 12 days of sick leave 9 holidays and 4 open/floating holidays your first year with a relocation stipend available.
Ketchikan is a welcoming island community with strong ties to tourism fishing and the arts and has been named one of the 100 Best Small Art Towns in America.With a population of roughly 14000 residents Ketchikan is locatedon the Southern portion of the Southeast Alaska Panhandle in the Tongass National Forestapproximately 679 air miles north of Seattle Washington. Our climate is mild with little snow; we have worldclass fishing hunting boating and scenery and we have daily airline and ferry service.
