Job Title ::Merchandise Sales Web Designer
Location :: BirminghamAL
Contract :: 12 months
The Web Designer creates digital graphics to be used on our websites and across digital marketing
channels in support of 48 Alabama Power Appliance Center locations. The Web Designer will be able to
translate high level business requirements and promotional campaigns into branded intuitive revenue
generating designs that are appropriate to their respective channel.
The Web Designer develops site content and graphics by collaborating with the Ecommerce Specialist
and Advertising team designing images icons banners etc. Designs include the following from
concept to :
Monthly emails designed and tested
Website graphics (expected 23 updates per week)
Website landing pages (Gift Guide Branded Pages etc.
Blog graphics
Social media graphics
Website UX updates
Intranet updates
The Web Designer will make continuous improvements to the websites by upgrading sitewide content
and graphics as needed through testing and analysis findings promotional needs etc.
Additional duties:
Be familiar with and adhere to corporate brand guidelines
Collaborate with Advertising team on campaign requirements social media strategy etc.
Support retail stores through special projects
Use design best practices to maximize medias impact
Create develop design code and implement digital content
Test designs across multiple browsers and devices
Edit & proofread content for accuracy
Manage code repository in GitHub
The ideal candidate would have experience in web graphic design web user interface design
responsive design knowledge of web programming and experience working in Shopify with Liquid code.
This creative individual would be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite have strong HTML CSS and
basic JavaScript. They should understand how API connections work as well as have an understanding
of JSON file structure.
