What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $18.29 $22.86 based on experience. We also offer generous benefits for fulltime employees which include but are not limited to:

What Youll Do
Denver Parks and Recreation oversees 30 neighborhood recreation centers that provide a variety of amenities and offer hundreds of affordable programs yearround for the community. The Mobile Custodial Team is currently hiring a Recreation Center Custodian responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the departments recreation centers. This position is scheduled to work Monday through Friday from 3:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Specifically as a Recreation Center Custodian you will:
Carry out a variety of interior custodial tasks such as mopping dusting vacuuming and operating mechanical floor equipment to polish buff strip and wax floors
Sanitize and maintain recreation facilities to ensure a clean and safe environment for staff and visitors
Collect and dispose of trash and waste including materials that may be hazardous
Clean and disinfect surfaces such as fixtures floors mirrors windows doors and walls in kitchens restrooms utility rooms locker rooms weight rooms and other facility areas
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in restrooms and locker rooms
Use power washers to clean both interior and exterior areas of the center
Perform high dusting of exposed HVAC ducts and vents using a power lift
Complete additional duties as assigned
What Youll Bring
Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience skills and characteristics:
Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule
Previous custodial experience and/or knowledge of custodial practices
Experience with floor care including stripping waxing and buffing
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean safe environment
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively without close supervision
Knowledge of hazardous materials and waste including safe handling storage usage and disposal procedures

Licensure: Requires a valid Drivers License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment
