Job Title: Custodian

Job Summary:

Performs basic cleaning duties and specific custodial functions which includes removing trash recycle removing trash recycling from office and break room areas. Dusts cleans restrooms sweeps floors operate a floor scrubber general cleaning / janitorial tasks and other specific requirements of the clients business segment. Must work in a safe and professional manner at all times

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Removes all trash recycling
• Vacuums all carpeted areas in offices
• Operates cleaning equipment such as a floor scrubbing machine
• Cleans breakrooms
• Cleans restrooms

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma G.E.D. or Equivalent preferred
• 0-2 years related experience and/or training
• English - Communicates clear direction strategic intentions and objectives; good interpersonal verbal and written communications skills including effective presentation and training skills.

Strong customer satisfaction focus meets and exceeds expectations of internal/external customers; anticipates the needs of internal/external customers and resolves any supplier delivery or quality problems impacting customers.

Team-oriented ability to work effectively with people across the organization ability to bring people together in the development and implementation of specific strategies and action plans in support of operating objectives.

Communication Communicates clear direction strategic intentions and objectives; good interpersonal verbal and written communications skills including effective presentation and training skills.

Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.

Requires use and exposure to chemicals. Exposure to wet or humid conditions outdoor weather and extreme heat. The noise level ranges from very quiet to very loud. Position works in manufacturing production type environment. May be required to wear metatarsal / steel toe boots safety glasses and hearing protection for work in designated areas within an industrial environment.
