- Ensure that all work is completed expertly and meets quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with other shifts to run workflow efficiently.
- Keep uptodate on the latest workplace safety and environmental requirements and implement all health and safety policies on the shop floor.
- Maintain and service equipment as needed or according to dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Interview dropoff drivers and document vehicle complaints.
- Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
- Craft job orders observe and listen to vehicle in operation to resolve malfunction and plan work procedures.
- Testdrive vehicle once service is complete to ensure that they run smoothly.
- Tag all warranty parts and returns to Warranty Clerk.
- Look out for training and factory technical bulletins as they become available.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer happiness.
- 35 years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
- Strong leadership interpersonal math and writing skills
- Ability to prioritize work in a dynamic environment
- One year Fleet or dealership experience
- Management or customer service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- ASE and CDL certification preferred
