Your Role

As a FEM Simulation Engineer (m/f/d) you will be responsible for projectrelated FEM analyses making a key contribution to the development of efficient and reliable solar tracking systems. In this role you will work on international utilityscale projects actively contribute to the advancement of our solutions in the field of AgriPhotovoltaics and play a central role in the continuous optimization of our tracker systems.

Tasks

  • Performing projectrelated linear and nonlinear FEM analyses for solar tracking systems
  • Developing and validating simulation models for the sizing of components and the entire system
  • Planning overseeing and evaluating mechanical tests on components and connections
  • Assessing wind snow and earthquake loads based on international standards and specific customer requirements
  • Close collaboration with teams from design product management and sales

Requirements

  • A completed engineering degree in mechanical engineering civil engineering or a comparable field
  • Strong knowledge in structural mechanics and structural dynamics
  • Several years of experience in the use of FEM software such as Hyperworks ANSYS Abaqus SCIA or SAP 2000
  • Strong analytical thinking and solid mathematical understanding
  • Knowledge of international standards and regulations such as ASCE or Eurocode is a plus
  • Very good German and English skills both written and spoken
  • Team player with a sense of responsibility and a passion for innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration
