As we continue with our growth strategy we are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Sprinkler Fitter based in Edmonton
JOB DETAILS:
The Sprinkler Fitter will report to the Construction Manager and his designate. This is a permanent position. We are seeking a customerfocused highly organized and experienced fitters. The successful candidate will have previous experience performing new installation and renovation/retrofit related work.
Position Requirements:
A Sprinkler Fitter is responsible for the installation service and repair of fire protection systems including: wet dry preaction and suppression systems; as well as fire pumps and backflow devices. What makes you valuable
- Certified Sprinkler Fitter with a valid trade certification (e.g. Red Seal Journeyman Ticket)
- A member of UA Local 488 in good standing
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Majority of work all above head
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders scaffolding and high lift equipment working within ducts crawl spaces above ceilings etc.
- Read and understand construction blueprints diagrams and specifications used in installation activities
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Ability to adhere to implement and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills positive attitude and an ability to learn quickly.
- Security Clearance is an asset.
- Possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
Additional Requirements for All Candidates:
- Valid safety certifications (e.g. CSO WHMIS 2015 CSTS 2020 Fall Protection Confine Space Monitor & Entry Advance Rigging Certificate EWP H2S Alive APRFit Test.
- Ability to work in any locations and adapt to shift schedules.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
