Job Description

Covia is looking for a dynamic Maintenance employee who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Technisand Wedron IL location.

The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on production equipment and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
  • Examines tests and measures product from assigned equipment for quality specifications using gauges and instruments and records data on appropriate forms.
  • Makes preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
  • Examines defects and analyzes spoilage causes and where possible takes corrective action. Analyzes and records cause of production delays on daily maintenance report.
  • Conveyer Belt Repair and regular Maintenance
  • Clean repair and rebuild pumps cylinders solenoids and air valves

The successful candidate will have the following Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Bearings
  • Ambitious and selfmotivated worker
  • Able to prioritize work schedule to execute in order of importance
  • Must be able to cut and weld (stick mig oxy/act plasma etc.
  • Electrical experience is preferred
  • Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools read blueprints service bulletins etc.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts if necessary or stay over shift if needed.
