Job Description

Universal Horror Unleashed is a terrifyingly unique experience that will bring haunts to Las Vegas yearround. Located at Area 15 is the heart of horror we would love to have you haunting alongside us! With the nature of this experience comes a unique working environment. You will find yourself working in dark environments around special effects including strobe lights fog artificial smells and more. The working hours will be unique typically spanning over late evenings/nights and weekends (holidays included). JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting the Food and Beverage operation at Universal Horror Unleashed (UHU) by handling all internal and external catering events and requests through direct interaction with clients. Partners with Assistant Managers to ensure client needs are met and communicated to other departments for event .

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates the catering events information and communication flow between the client culinary and operations departments. Creates Banquet Event Order (BEO) form verifies accuracy of information distributes to key partners and other UHU departments and communicates to all involved areas key information and requests regarding upcoming events. Manages BEOs for short term needs that the Executive Sous Chef and F&B Managers will utilize for staffing needs and food preparation. Maintains stores and uploads all documentation and BEOs according to established policies and procedures for all events.
  • Performs all administrative duties related to billing reporting operation plans presentations and completion of documentation and forms including but not limited to partnering with clients for all event requests special product requests verifying the accuracy of event orders communicating with partners to ensure changes and new requests are met inputting inventory recaps and beverage consumption in the management system and processes payments.
  • Coordinates all meetings concerning the of events. Attends the weekly Banquet Event meeting to answer any questions that might arise about all events as well as communicating with Restaurants and Production Kitchen to coordinate functions. Continuously communicates with partners to secure space discuss menu options confirm the number of guests and determine the price of menus appropriately. Partners directly with F&B leadership to coordinate special menu themes with props linen and floral.
  • Responsible for securing all restaurant private rooms VIP Lounge and conference rooms for all UHU Departments for groups of 5 through groups of 500 for breakfasts lunches meetings dinners and receptions.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skills and/or abilities (KSAs) required.

  • Strong understanding of catering and/or event management and coordination.
  • Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule based on business demands.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems.

  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement.

CERTIFICATIONS LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:

  • Professional Food Managers certification and Nevada state certifications are required.

EDUCATION:

  • Associate or bachelors degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years of related catering or event management experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
