ABOUT
Our client company based in Stuttgart (Germany) specializes in the design and construction of lightweight structures integrating architecture and engineering based of scientific research and minimalistic forms in harmony with the ornamentation of buildings.
ROLE
The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing all technologyrelated aspects of the crowd management project. This includes implementing and managing the IT infrastructure needed to support pedestrian simulations scheduling systems data storage and coordination tools with our partners and stakeholders. The IT Manager will ensure that all technological systems are reliable secure and optimized to meet the needs of the project while providing technical support to the project team.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- IT Infrastructure Management:
- Implement and maintain IT infrastructure to support simulation software scheduling tools and collaborative platforms.
- Oversee the setup and maintenance of secure databases for storing project data including simulation results and stakeholder information.
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of IT infrastructure to meet current and future project demands.
- Data Security and Compliance:
- Implement cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive project data from unauthorized access or breaches.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and standards (e.g. GDPR ISO standards).
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain data security and system integrity.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical assistance to team members and stakeholders in using project management scheduling and simulation tools.
- Address ITrelated issues promptly to minimize disruptions to project workflows.
- Collaboration Tool Management:
- Oversee the deployment and integration of communication and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Teams SharePoint etc...
- Train team members and partners in the use of these tools to facilitate effective coordination.
- Coordination with Simulation and Database Teams:
- Work closely with the simulation team to ensure IT systems can handle largescale computational tasks.
- Collaborate with the database team to optimize data storage access and analysis.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers to procure and maintain necessary technologies.
- Provide updates on IT infrastructure performance and any risks or challenges to project leadership.
- General IT Support for NonProject Related Tasks:
- Provide technical assistance to the organizations IT team for routine maintenance and upgrades of companywide IT systems and infrastructure.
- Support the installation and troubleshooting of hardware and software for nonproject staff as needed.
- Assist in ensuring company IT policies and procedures are adhered to across all departments.
- Provide backup support for ongoing IT operations unrelated to the project ensuring overall system uptime and functionality.
- Contribute to the organizations broader IT initiatives such as cybersecurity upgrades training programs and digital transformation efforts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT management preferably within largescale multistakeholder projects.
- Strong understanding of IT systems cybersecurity and database management.
- Familiarity with simulation software and scheduling tools is an advantage.
- Excellent problemsolving and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Java and other programming languages for developing or customizing projectspecific tools and solutions.
- Strong experience working within a Microsoft 365 Environment including Teams SharePoint and related applications.
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure with a focus on cloud computing resource management and security configurations.
- Knowledge of Cloud Environments and their implementation including scaling and cost optimization strategies.
- Familiarity with Visualization tools for data presentation such as Power BI Tableau or similar platforms.
- Handson experience with JIRA for tracking project tasks managing workflows and supporting agile project management.
