Description
SUMMARY:
The Learning Resources Assistant assists with all aspects of library services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs the overall operation of the library service desk
- Assists faculty and students with locating and using resources effectively
- Assists with compiling statistical data regarding campus library services
- Assists with the processing of library and archive material
- Assists with interlibrary loan
- Provides technical assistance for library users
- Manages inventory of supplies
- Assists with coordinating library events and programming
- Answers routine directional and reference inquiries
- Communicates with other campus departments regularly
- Supervises workstudy students
- Serve as proctor
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates Degree
- Minimum of one year of employment within a professional setting with demonstrated experience in customer service
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of one year of experience within a library setting
