Description

SUMMARY:

The Learning Resources Assistant assists with all aspects of library services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Performs the overall operation of the library service desk
  2. Assists faculty and students with locating and using resources effectively
  3. Assists with compiling statistical data regarding campus library services
  4. Assists with the processing of library and archive material
  5. Assists with interlibrary loan
  6. Provides technical assistance for library users
  7. Manages inventory of supplies
  8. Assists with coordinating library events and programming
  9. Answers routine directional and reference inquiries
  10. Communicates with other campus departments regularly
  11. Supervises workstudy students
  12. Serve as proctor
  13. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates Degree
  • Minimum of one year of employment within a professional setting with demonstrated experience in customer service

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of one year of experience within a library setting
