Do you have what it takes
Education and qualifications:
- University degree in Applied economics/Finance or Equivalent
- Ideally 23 years experience in Finance in Express or Similar business. Some knowledge of accounting will be good.
- Knowledge of the reporting systems of DPDHL (CREST; Express TM1; SAP; Cognos) will be under consideration but it is not mandatory requirement.
Skills needed:
MUST HAVE PCSkills: Power BI excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office; Advanced Expert in Microsoft Office Excel (incl. complex formulas macros and Visual Basic) and PowerPoint.
Proven capabilities to build maintain and manipulate large and complex datasets.
Ability to prepare analytical reports and interpret key business information with financial acumen.
Ability to present convincingly and in a diplomatic way.
Communicative and approachable to build up relationships and effectively in a multicultural environment.
Experience with IBM Planning Analytics for Excel (PAx) including data uploading and report generation integration with macros.
Good social skills work in an international environment
Positive can do mentality always looking for improvements
Multicultural mind with excellent communication skills in a global environment
Preferable if experienced in the Europe Region with some International Experience preferred
Good communications skills in English (written reading and speaking)
Proficiency ins another European language is advantageous.

We are looking for a Technical Expert EU Hub & Gateway Controlling based in BonnGermany.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL
The role purpose is to analyze extract and process relevant information from large structured and unstructured datasets to help automate and optimize key processes translating into reliable insights to support decisions making for European Network Operations. The role requires a high level of data numeracy and the ability to generate useful and meaningful reports.
The Tasks
Provide key business inputs to understand and translate business needs into efficient technical language/model with focus on digitalization and automation of data flows and reporting
Responsible for the design development and optimization of Power BI reports to support the digitization of financial reporting within DHL Express.
Data maintenance data extract/upload from various operational and financial systems ensuring the accuracy of EU HUBs reporting system both financial and nonfinancial system reconciliation
Preparation of financial reports/tools and presentations on a regular basis for EU HUBs as well as analyzes for all controlling relevant areas (EBIT cash flow CAPEX)
Support of monthend closing processes according to monthend schedule
Ensuring the quality of reporting
Participate in the analysis and commentary of the monthly results
Actively participate on infrastructure for annual budgets midterm plans and forecasts and prepare overview for senior management
In collaboration with local country controlling proactively seeking explanations for variances in particular coordination and recording of forecasts budgeting and efficiency improvements in the business units
Ensure positive relationship with EU HUBs country teams and support local teams in their monthly reporting within EU H&G priorities
Ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies and IFRS for the responsible areas
Processing of adhoc inquiries and cooperation in projects
