Modern Apprentice
Plexus is offering a challenging but exciting opportunity to join our Quality and
Engineering teams as part of our modern apprenticeship programme.

About you
You will need to meet the academic requirement to qualify for the programme.
In the first two years you will attend college 2 days per week and be on site 3
days. The days at college in the subsequent two years will vary. There will also be
an element of on the job assessment of skills.
In addition the successful candidate must:

• Be enthusiastic and motivated to learn
• Be able to work collaboratively and actively contribute to the team
• Maintain relationships and exchange ideas
• Be able to apply new work requirements with minimal supervision
• Be proactive in seeking out opportunities to apply theory to the on the job part of the role

During the apprenticeship you will be encouraged and supported in both the
college release and structured onthejob training which will lead to the
achievement of HNC level 3 and SVQ Level 3 in accordance with the Modern
Apprentice framework. Plexus also offers opportunities for further Professional
Development such as degrees.

Purpose Statement: The individual will complete their education via a
combination of college attendance and structured onthejob training and are
expected to achieve the Modern Apprenticeship qualification within a 4 year
period.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Competent in required job knowledge and skills to perform assigned tasks.
• Able to apply new work requirements with minimal supervision.
• Is uptodate on all certifications and training requirements for role.
• Consistently completes assignments or work requirements on time without
• compromising on quality.
• Uses time effectively to manage workload/tasks.
• Additional Accountabilities:
• Supporting manufacturing operations as required.
• Ongoing demonstration of competence evidenced in Individual Learning Agreement
• Ongoing demonstration of Plexus NonNegotiables.
• Achievement of Graduate Apprenticeship milestones.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Education/Experience Qualifications:
• Meets minimum entry requirements for the apprenticeship.
• Other Qualifications:
• An aptitude for learning and the ability to work as part of a team is essential.

Work Environment:
The work setting is a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting
comfortable temperatures and a moderate noise level.
