The CTO unit is the department within Generali Vitality responsible for IT IT Security and Project Management. It is accountable for the delivery of IT solutions. It steers several service providers ensuring the highest quality possible of the release of new and businessasusual implementations of the product.
In the role of an AWS Cloud Engineer (m/f/d) you will be pivotal all the way from business process consulting and problem definition to solution design development and deployment. You will also lead the problem definition and discovery of the overall solution; you will support and guide our service provider teams on project processes and deliverables. As an experienced professional in your domain you will be the key advisor to architecture and design reviews. You will be responsible of gathering and documenting nonfunctional requirements in conjunction with the implementation of our internal governance processes.
Profile
Required technical skills:
- Experience with key AWS services such as Lambda DynamoDB API Gateway AppSync SNS SQS S3 Application Load Balancer EC2 AWS ECS Cognito Parameter store Cloud Watch XRay
- Knowledge of programming languages used in the AWS environment such as Typescript and Java/Kotlin
- Knowledge of SecDevOps approaches CI/CD on Gitlab
- Knowledge of IaaS technologies such as Terraform Serverless Framework and Cloud Formation
- Strong understanding of Cloud Architecture and design principles of scalability and availability
- Knowledge of SCRUM and Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of maintenance models and of SLA frameworks
- AWS Developer certification is a musthave AWS Solution Architect certifications are a plus
Required personal skills:
- BSc in Computer Science or in a related field
- 5 years of experience with software development in an AWS environment
- Proactive approach to work while leading convergence across teams and solving conflict areas
- Ability to work in a multicultural team flexibly and confidently also with regard to communication and presentation of solutions and results
- Fluent in English (B2 German and/or Italian are a plus
