THE POSITION
Mobilisation Period:
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement comprehensive cleaning and waste management solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders to drive project success.
- Attend meetings and workshops to gather feedback address concerns and keep stakeholders informed.
- Provide support and guidance to the project team and stakeholders ensuring they have the necessary resources and information.
Operations:
- Supervise a team of cleaners ensuring efficient completion of tasks to high standards.
- Utilise your knowledge of the commercial cleaning industry including equipment materials and methodologies within hospital environments.
- Assist in implementing cleaning schedules and procedures and coordinate with the Environmental Services Manager to address urgent cleaning needs and reactive work orders.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Train and support cleaning staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment coordinating replenishment as needed.
- Communicate regularly with staff and stakeholders providing updates and addressing issues.
- Support the Environmental Services Manager with administrative tasks such as scheduling reporting and recordkeeping.
- Supervise shift changes and assist in team and client meetings.
THE PERSON
- Indepth knowledge and experience of the commercial cleaning industry and methodologies within a hospital setting
- Experience in a healthcare setting including infection control policies and procedures
- Strong communicator with the ability to manage relationships at various organisational levels.
- Proven experience supervising operational teams with a collaborative management style.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety issues.
- Proficient computer skills (Word and Excel).
- Strong communication skills with a flexible approach and attitude
