Job Description
To strengthen our company portfolio our M&A team is looking for a highly motivated Corporate Developer to map acquisitive growth opportunities in South Korea
As a Corporate developer you will identify B2B software prospects in the South Korean market. You will research about the companies and understand about their product portfolio and future roadmap. Once identified you have the opportunity of conversing with experienced entrepreneurs. Building a long lasting relationship to further understand when the moment is right to together with management start an acquisitive growth process with the company. You will contribute in the preacquisition business activities in order to grow our company portfolio in South Korea and surrounding countries.
You will be based in the Netherlands initially in Utrecht. The role is partially home based and you are part of a broader international M&A team.
Our ideal candidate is representative has excellent communication skills in the South Korean and English language. You feel comfortable conversing with experienced entrepreneurs. You are entrepreneurial and proactive in your mindset yet also methodological in your approach.
The job
Grow our M&A prospect database in South Korea.
Initiate outbound prospecting (phone and video) calls email and social media.
Use Marketing and CRM data to build relationships with keystakeholders and maintain them.
Follow up on outbound and inbound M&A prospect activities in a timely manner.
Conduct first line interactions with companies (primarily by telephone and face to face) in order to qualify potential targets.
Document meetings/ interactions in form of notes interactions and administer efforts in Salesforce (our CRM system).

Qualifications
Independent & proactive worker who can also work in a team.
Commercial skills and sales affinity ability to establish contact with senior executives at M&A target companies who are unfamiliar with our company.
Ability to work on targets and eagerness to learn.
Able to write professional emails in South Korean and English language and has good telephone skills.
Experienced in (online) research.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master degree preferably but not mandatory in Business Administration Economics/Accounting Sales Commercial Sciences or Marketing Management.
25 years experience in corporate development business development or sales roles.
Fluent in (Business) South Korean and English language
Available to work 40 hours per week
