Were seeking an experienced Staff Database Reliability Engineer to join our SRE team focusing on ensuring performance reliability and security of our database & related systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database systems site reliability engineering principles and DevOps practices to meet business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Develop and implement automation tools and scripts to improve database provisioning scaling monitoring and maintenance workflows.
- Collaborate with developers to design and implement database schemas and applications that meet reliability and performance requirements
- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to meet RPO & RTO objectives
- Participate in oncall rotations and provide 24/7 support for critical database and related infrastructure issues
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth and development of the R&D team
- Implement and manage high availability solutions for hybrid hosted database environments
Experience you will have:
- Python
- PowerShell

- Google Cloud Platform
- Kubernetes
- Packer
- Docker
Preferred Experience:
- Certification in database administration software engineering or related field
- Certifications in Google Cloud Platform PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server
