UFG is currently hiring for a Corporate Claims Administration Director who will be a detailoriented individual with a strong understanding of property casualty and workers compensation claims. This role is primarily responsible for leading the oversight of our Claims Compliance and Governance framework to ensure our claims operations are conducted in accordance with the complex legal & regulatory requirements applicable to the property and casualty insurance industry.
In addition this role will manage the oversight of (not necessarily be responsible for) and provides visibility for other shared services within the department including but not limited to budgeting claims quality assurance vendor oversight in partnership with Vendor Management SIU/fraud Medicare/Medicaid.
This role is part of the claims leadership governing body responsible for setting the overall departmental vision goals and strategic initiatives for the claims department. This role will contribute to department and corporate strategic planning technical skills advancement contributing to solutions that meet our customer needs contributing to company initiatives supporting other department leaders adherence to our Gold Standard of Claims and operating within a budget.
Responsibilities:
- Governance Development and maintenance of framework to include:
- Policies and guidelines oversight
- Claims Best Practices
- Sarbanes Oxley Review/compliance (SOX)
- Payment oversight/compliance
- Customer Satisfaction
- System Administration (authority oversight entitlement audit and system access)
- Compliance Responsible for development and maintenance of all compliance related matters:
- Medicare
- Manage the relationship with Internal Audit operating as the direct point of contact signing off on the annual control workflows oversight of Claims involvement in the audit process including the development of action plans and management responses to findings ensuring completion by the due dates
- Lead Claims involvement in our external audit and financial exams
- Oversight of Claims regulatory reporting
- Oversight of Licensing and Appointments
- Claims Excellence responsible for direct oversight of quality assurance process and procedures
- Strong collaboration with directors of our adjusting verticals to ensure strong communication on areas we are doing well and areas of improvement
- Vendor Oversight in partnership with Vendor Management Office
- Work with Vendor Management Office to vet new vendor requests contract review involvement in vendor playbook/catalog approval and contract signing along with SOC review
- SIU Oversight
- Reinsurance Oversight in partnership with Ceded Re and Finance
- Responsible for quality review process to control leakage backup Property Director on Pillar reporting along with managing our reinsurance relationships
- Budget Oversight
- Direct oversight of the entire budget for Claims working closely with Finance. Working closely with claims leadership peers to ensure transparency and adherence to budget
- Managing vendor contract spend
- Oversight of allocation of travel budget

- Active contributor to corporate initiatives and to claims strategic planning
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors Degree Required
Certifications/Designations:
- Insurance designations such as CPCU SCLA AIC CIC and AIM preferred or working toward within the first 2 years
Experience:
- 10 years of experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry preferred
- 5 years in leadership role managing legal regulatory and compliance requirements preferred
- 5 years in a leadership role within a claims organization preferred
Working Conditions:
