Our client an established Waste Management concern is search of aProject Coordinator
Who will be responsible for implementing the project investment plans analysing data to measure program effectiveness and collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that the projects are implemented.
One will possess strong data management skills and willing to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth planning monitoring and completion of projects that focus on collection and the recycling of plastic packaging waste
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Coordination and Strategy
- Support the development of comprehensive project plans including objectives scope deliverables and timelines for successful project implementation.
- Contribute to the strategies aimed at increasing collection and recycling of plastic packaging waste with the aim of achieving the legislated targets.
- Contribute to the coordination of collection and recycling projects. This will include providing guidance direction and assistance to achieve project milestones and objectives.
Project Support
Data management
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive data management system for tracking key metrics; particularly investment jobs and tonnes collected and recycled.
- Analyse data to identify trends assess program effectiveness and make datadriven recommendations for improvement.
- Generate regular reports on recycling performance for internal and external stakeholders
Finance
- Obtain data from Finance that set the targets for project delivery
- Ensure invoices are paid and documentation is correct
- Ensure that invested projects are initiated reporting and paying
Compliance
- Facilitate the MOA setup with the legal and compliance team
- Monitoring volume reports to track performance of collection and recycling projects
- Ensuring partners are adhering to the MOA and operating procedures are being followed
- Regular site visits to check on physical appearance of equipment
- Initiating intervention to address nonperformance
Partner Engagement:
- Facilitate collection and recycling companies funding applications capturing information undertaking site visits etc.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with collection and recycling partners.
Reporting and Documentation
- Support the preparation of regular progress reports project documentation and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the documentation of best practices lessons learned and project outcomes to facilitate knowledge sharing and inform future initiatives.
Qualifications Skills and Experience needed:
- Project Management/Environmental/Waste Management tertiary qualification or equivalent qualification required
- Project Management related courses/certifications essential
- 34 Years experience in project coordination/administration within a similar role preferably within the Waste Management and/or Recycling industry
- Must have experience in delivering on projects is critical (initiation to project closure)
- Proven efficiency on MS Excel is essentialas well as proficiency on MS Word and MS Powerpoint
- Ability to manage service providers and performance delivery
- Highly organised and proactive
Must have valid drivers licence and own vehicle - Must be willing to travel locally
- Fluency in African and Afrikaans languages beneficial
