In accordance with the Department of Human Services procedures when CYF becomes aware that a child is at high risk for CSEC (Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children) steps will be taken to reduce the suspected risk. When CYF or any contracted providers identify that a child may be the victim of/or at risk of CSEC referral information will be forwarded to HSAO in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The DHS CSEC Coordinator will complete the assessment and provide ongoing system coordination. The DHS CSEC Coordinator will facilitate communication across childserving agencies to better identify the needs and strengths of youth and their families for the purpose of supporting and maintaining the youths path towards recovery. Work is performed with a considerable degree of initiative and independent judgment in accordance with established regulations policies and procedures. The position reports directly to the supervisor who provides general guidance regarding program issues.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain CANS credentialing on a yearly basis
Collaborate with the DHS CSEC Screening Unit to complete initial and followup assessments
Review CSEC referrals through he DHSCSEC email portal
Prepare service plans and files
Communicate with the parent or caregiver regrading referrals and service plan goals
Complete the CSEC assessment in the Key Information Demographic System (KIDS)
Ability to travel to assess youth in contracted providers or in the community
Establish and maintain effective and productive working relationship with OBH PAAR OCYF law enforcement FBI CSI and other identified system providers
Review assessment results with the CYF CSEC case manager to determine eligibility
Develop a countywide multidisciplinary team model based on county best practices in prevention identification and timely interventions and supports to CSEC youth.
Provide technical assistance and training to providers and system partners to monitor identified CSEC youth
Serve as the point person for the team to coordinate resources services and supports for identified clients
Facilitates and coordinates training relative to best practices to support CSEC youth
Monitor and track changes in laws regulations and legislation that impact CSEC youth
Attends and participates in personal development and remains competent and knowledgeable of current trends initiatives resources and services available for clients and families
Performs related duties as required

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Possess Act 33 Act 34 and FBI clearances
Have a valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle license and access to a personal vehicle.
Have current auto insurance that meets minimum collision coverage
Knowledge of guidelines and regulations of all levels of service coordination services.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent leadership qualities
Ability to work independently
Fulltime position requiring 40 hours per week.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Masters Degree in Social Work Education or Psychology Or RN Degree Or a Bachelor Degree in Social Work Education or Psychology with two years experience. BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION
