Job Description:
About the Role: As the site Food Safety and Quality Manager you will oversee and ensure the implementation of Quality Assurance (QA) programs for the Carrollton TX a manufacturer of Refrigerated Dough. This role upholds product quality food safety and sanitation in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Youll add value to this role by performing various functions including but not limited to:
- Oversee implement and maintain QA programs including Formula Control Allergen Control NonConforming Products Recalls Food Safety Plans and pest control systems.
- Develop implement and manage comprehensive sanitation programs for daily and periodic cleaning of the facility.
- Define and enforce best laboratory practices and quality policies.
- Ensure compliance with company state and federal sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with R&D to improve product quality and costeffectiveness support product changes and oversee plant testing.
- Coach mentor and develop quality and sanitation leaders/supervisors in addition to providing quality and food safety training for employees at all levels.
- Conduct quality and sanitation audits and summarize technical data to identify trends and corrective actions as well as support quality systems and initiatives.
- Serve as the plants liaison for regulatory authorities including USDA FDA and thirdparty auditors.
Important Details: This is a fulltime permanent role onsite with oncall support and flexibility for critical operational demands.
About You:
Youll fit right in if you have:
A Bachelors degree with emphasis in technical studies such as chemistry food science or related fields
Five years quality assurance experience with 12 years demonstrated leadership ability
Knowledge of Microsoft applications (word excel access and power point) Knowledge of SAP/PDM InfinityQS SharePoint and Minitab are a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
GFSI (BRC or SQF) experience .
Ability to effectively present information to top management public groups and/or executive leadership team.
