Mens Direct Care Staff On-Call

Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge a leader in offering treatment programs to those battling addiction is seeking a dynamic individual to fill our opening for a Mens Recovery Coach (direct care staff). This position is for an oncall mens recovery coach position working at one of our mens buildings with clients in either the Short Term or Long Term Mens Program.

Purpose: To provide supervision to clients that ensures their safety and wellbeing; to assist clients in making choices that are in their long term best interests.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Client Supervision:
Lead and supervise clients in the year long faith based program on the residential housing floor and during all duties and activities during the course of the work shift.

Client Transportation:
Maintain valid drivers license at all times for driving Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge vehicles.
Transport clients to all program functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

OnCall Staff are expected to work 23 shifts per month and attend staff meetings. Documented 1 year freedom from chemical use problems (including tobacco alcohol).
Strong ability to relate to and mentor people with lifecontrolling problems.
Strong leadership skills (one on one and group situations).
Ability to remain on task and follow through on multiple concurrent assignments with frequent interruptions.
Ability to successfully complete background check process.
Possession of a valid drivers license and a clean driving record and ability to be insured under organizations vehicle insurance carrier.
Must possess a MN state drivers license or be willing to transfer out of state license to MN state drivers license.

Physical demands:
Ability to stand for the majority of an 8 hour shift.
Ability to climb up and down three flights of stairs several times during a regular shift.
Ability to walk during the majority of a regular shift.
Ability to remain seated for the majority of a regular shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Compensation:

Weekday 1st shift: 7am 3pm): Base Rate $17/hr

Weekday 2nd shift: 311pm): $1/hr shift differential $1 base rate of $17 $18/hr)

Weekday or Weekend 3rd shift 11pm 7am): $4/hr shift differential $4 base rate of $17 $21/hr)

Weekend 1st shift: $2/hr shift differential $2 base rate of $17 $19/hr) and Weekend 2nd shift: $3/hr shift differential $3 base rate of $17 $20/hr)
