Description
Rothman Orthopaedics is looking for a Hand Therapist to join our team! The Hand Therapist performs the duties of an OT or PT with a specific emphasis on hand and upper extremity injuries of the adolescent adult and geriatric orthopedic population.If you are qualified for and interested in this role please apply.
Hours: Tue & Thu: 8:30am 5pm (will work 16 hrs/wk)
Locations:243 Hurffville Cross Keys Rd Sewell NJ 08080
Qualifications:
- Masters degree andsuccessful completion of an accredited PT or OT school required
- Must have active valid state OT/PT licensure
- CHT preferred;OT/PT with hand experience actively working towards CHT will be considered
- 5 years of experience minimum required
- Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office
Essential Duties:
- Provides hand therapy services to patients in a fastpaced hand and orthopaedic clinic including the fabrication of static and dynamic splints and orthotics.
- Provides evaluations treatments and goal setting of patients.
- Custom fabrication of static and dynamic splints/orthoses.
- Evaluates patients progress and adjusts programs to achieve maximum benefits.
- Consults directly with hand surgeons and other rehabilitation team members.
- Supervises aides and students in direct patient care and related activities.
- Participates in staff inservices monthly rounds and research.
- Adheres to regulatory documentation and billing requirements.
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
