Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual who Shares our focus and dedication for those we serve and support. This is a role that is key for service delivery within our Group Home area and designed to truly make a difference in the lives of children that are served improving the quality of life and connection to community.


Program Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the group home ensuring a structured and supportive environment for residents.

  • Develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ensure the program meets all state licensing requirements and standards of care.

Staff Supervision and Development:
  • Recruit train supervise and evaluate group home staff including residential counselors case managers and support staff.

  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes professional growth and effective teamwork.

  • Schedule staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage at all times.

Resident Care:
  • Monitor and assess the physical emotional and psychological needs of residents.

  • Facilitate therapeutic and recreational activities that promote the wellbeing and development of residents.

  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed ensuring the safety and stability of the group home environment.

Compliance and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records for each resident including case notes incident reports and progress assessments.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local state and federal regulations including health and safety standards.

  • Prepare and submit regular reports to regulatory agencies and funding sources.

Community and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain relationships with families social workers healthcare providers and other external stakeholders.

  • Represent the group home in community meetings and events advocating for the needs and interests of the residents.

  • Coordinate with external service providers to ensure comprehensive care and support for residents.

Qualifications:Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Social Work Psychology Human Services or a related field (Masters degree preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a residential care setting with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Experience working with atrisk youth or individuals with behavioral and emotional challenges.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on building positive relationships with residents and stakeholders.

  • Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical activities including standing walking bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.

  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and oncall shifts as needed.
