Position Title:Guest Services Representative Rate of Pay :$17.50 per hour Position Purpose: Provides customer service to guests of the OC Fair including fair patrons VIP guests and/or Board Members. This is a seasonal temporary position not to exceed 122 days. Essential Functions: - Provides customer service to guests including fair patrons fair neighbors VIP guests and/or Board Members.
- Handles customer complaints comments and suggestions from guests and escalates more complex issues to Guest Services Leads and/or Supervisors.
- Provides guests with information regarding events including the annual OC Fair.
- Some positions will serve as Receptionist and handle incoming phone inquiries from guests as well as assists walkin visitors.
- Some positions will serve as a Neighborhood Ambassador which will include monitoring local neighborhood activity removal of any waste and debris left behind by fair patrons respond to and document neighbor requests.
- Directs guests as requested to specific locations throughout the property.
- Ensures that guests leave the property with a positive experience.
- Assists with special needs requests.
- May be asked to assist with hospitality duties during special events.

- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills a must.
- Previous experience in a customer service position preferably working with the public or VIPs required.
- Ability to remain calm and helpful during stressful situations essential.
- Must be available to work all 23 days of the annual OC Fair.
- Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.
Preferences: - Knowledge of the layout and facilities of the OC Fair & Event Center highly preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills strongly desired.
