Commercial Contracts Manager
About the Team:
You will join our Commercial Contracts Team being responsible for the consistent global management of top level customer contracts (e.g. Terms &Conditions Warranty Terms and Development agreements) for ZF Friedrichshafen AG across all divisions and customer accounts. The job holder provides guidance and advice to ensure that: commercial risks are defined and limited and they are responsible for establishing the best practice commercial guidelines through ownership and deployment of the ZF Automotive Commercial Policy and ensuring compliance to it. Responsibility for training and communication on the ZF processes and documents to be used plus the practical instructions and implications of key commercial/warranty issues to sales and the latest best practice approaches to address these also form part of this role.
What you can look forward to as Commercial Contracts Manager:
- To support the management of contracts on a customer account basis in contract negotiations including formal written responses together with assistance for responses throughout the contractual chain.
- Manage and coordinate global contract review and negotiations with Sales Legal and subject matter experts internally and with the customer.
- Provide guidance regarding policy executive summary generation development of proposals promote consistency across accounts.
- Coordinate a wide range of complex legal service logistic and warranty issues internally with all functional areas business units and plants.
- Conduct discussions with customers in the context of the quality service and warranty topics
- Moderate working groups for commercial contract topics across the ZF Group
- Support internal strategy meetings when required.
Your Profile as Commercial Contracts Manager:
- Technical or commercial university degree
- Professional experience: four to six years strong commercial experience within sales or commercial function preferably in an automotive related industry
- Any form of Legal knowledge / qualification would be preferred
- Experience of and with MS Office suite of applications
- Flexible selfmotivated as well as an ability to work on own initiative and to participate in international business travel when required
- Some prior knowledge of ZF and its Passenger Car Division
- Structured way of working analytical thinking as well as excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Proficiency in English required for general contract related communication; Second or third language (e.g. French German) would be an Advantage
