The Division of Humanities at Texas A&M UniversityTexarkana invites applications for a fulltime tenuretrack Assistant Professor of History to join our faculty beginning in theacademic year. The curriculum in History includes B.S. and M.S. degreegranting programs. The teaching load is 12 SCH per semester. The History program will expect the successful candidate to teach corecurriculum survey courses a few upperdivision courses and possibly a graduate course in the span of an academic year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Possess a Ph.D. in History in hand at time of appointment).
Experience using Canvas or similar LMS.
Ability to advise and mentor History majors in the department.
Participate in departmental collegiate and university activities and governance.
Work collaboratively with faculty in program development and across disciplines.
Contribute to curriculum and course development.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to teach courses in European history and history of the ancient world.
Demonstrated evidence of the ability to teach across a range of modalities (face to face asynchronous online hybrid synchronous online).
Experience teaching and advising firstgeneration students
