ThisMasters level clinical position requires experience with latencyaged youth knowledge of traumainformed care and excellent interpersonal skills. The Clinician is responsible for providing trauma informed clinical services to children and their families through individual dyad group and family therapy at Italian Home. The Clinician works with children ages 413 that have experienced complex trauma and adversity that has impacted their ability to regulate themselves both socially and emotionally. The Clinician is responsible for case management and for serving as the primary contact for all involved family members and collaterals which requires an individual with good organizational skills. Internally the Clinician works closely with direct care staff and managers nursing staff and psychiatrists. The Clinician is expected to provide the highest quality of care to children and families.

Serve as case manager for assigned caseload
Provide individual group and family therapy to clients
Maintain regular contact with outside collaterals and parents
Relay all significant information to treatment team members
Work closely with dorm leaders and staff
Provide clinical perspective to Staff members
Work closely with interdisciplinary treatment team
Attend conferences family group conferences planning meetings and other relevant clinical meetings
Chair treatment team meetings
Write initial treatment plans psychosocial assessments CANS assessments quarterly treatment reviews progress notes and discharge summaries in a timely fashion
Coordinate the assessment of a childs response to psychotropic medications
Facilitate intakes into the program and process all necessary paperwork
Provide direct supervision of clients in dorms when needed
Learn implement and demonstrate understanding of agency training philosophy and principles
Assist in providing behavioral and physical intervention in accordance with training principals
Provide inhome therapy to families in the community
Demonstrated support and belief in the agencys treatment philosophy values and mission
Masterlevel degree in social work counseling or related field
Massachusetts State Clinical license (LICSW or LMHC) or progress toward obtaining said license
12 years post Masters experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Experience working with children and families; experience providing treatment to children with social emotional and trauma concerns as well as mental health and developmental disorders
Evidence of sensitivity and respect for clients culture and socioeconomic characteristics
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of family individual and group therapy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential in conjunction with computer literacy
Strong organizational skills able to multitask and prioritize able to meet deadlines
Must be receptive and responsive to supervision and professional development
Ability to respond to emergencies quickly and safely
Maintain strictest confidentiality with respect to agency employee and client information; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
Visual and hearing acuity to perform job related functions
Physical ability to provide therapeutic physical restraint
