Job Description
Employment Senior Associate or Of Counsel California (Irvine Los Angeles San Diego)
Our client a highly regarded law firm is seeking an Employment Law Associate or Of Counsel with 7 years of experience to join their team in Irvine Los Angeles or San Diego. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned employment attorney to provide daytoday legal counsel to employers develop workplace policies and lead complex employment matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise employers on daytoday employment law issues ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws
- Draft and review employment policies and procedures including handbooks and workplace policies
- Handle ADA and FMLA matters providing guidance on accommodations and leave management
- Draft and negotiate employment contracts restrictive covenants and severance agreements
- Conduct workplace investigations and provide management and employee training on employment law matters
- Provide proactive legal counsel to minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABAaccredited law school
- Active admission to the California Bar is required
- Minimum of 7 years of employment law experience with a focus on counseling employers and policy development
- Strong writing and analytical skills with experience drafting employmentrelated contracts and policies
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment
- Selfstarter who can work independently and collaboratively within a team
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $260000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience skills and qualifications)
