This position is deemed eligible for hybrid telework under DNCRs Telework Policy.
Provide training/consultation to Division staff to ensure that procedures and guidelines are being adhered to.
Oversee and work with Division reconcilers via the Divisions Money Counts database for PCard reconcilement and management to ensure that transactions are processed accurately
Audit all transactions to ensure that all Department of Natural and Cultural Resources as well as the Division of Parks and Recreation policy processes and procedures are being adhered to and report any transactions that are deemed to be inappropriate or outside of DNCR and/or DPR policy.
Work with DNCRs Procurement Reconciler to address any transactions that need additional research or actions.
Communicate with division employees management and the general public responding to inquiries vary from a variety of accounting code sheets invoices policy and procedural questions to inquiries that require collaboration and followup.
Oversee the divisions fixed assets by maintaining an uptodate database creating fixed asset numbers inputting new assets and removing old assets.
Obtain Notary Public certification to provide support across various sections including but not limited to Human Resources Construction Major Maintenance Parks and Recreation Trust Fund Land Acquisition Team Law Enforcement Swearing In etc.

Qualified candidates must have or be able to:
Demonstrated experience developing working relationships with various team members across an organization.
Demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting policy processes and procedures.Demonstrated experience recording compiling and/or summarizing financial data.
The North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreationexists to inspire all its citizens and visitors through conservation recreation and education.
