Job Description

We are in pursuit of a great bookkeeper who is comfortable handling the fullcycle bookkeeping responsibilities for a client list of multiple accounts.


NOTE: This is not an entry level position you will need previous work experience to be considered for this role.


This dynamic position requires someone who is highly organized and is confident in making decisions on their own that will benefit their clients needs. The daytoday bookkeeping duties is an obvious must for such a position however building relationships amongst clients while managing priorities and deadlines are the keys to success.


Our client is a highly respected bookkeeping firm in the heart of Kamloops BC and are looking for someone like you to take their business to the next level. They are seeking that key professional that will share their values and business ventures to grow their company and to expand their clientele.


While the candidate will have a great deal of support available to them this position enjoys a good deal of autonomy in managing a list of clients. A good compensation package with benefits is on offer (commensurate with experience) as well as a hybridtype role is available for the right candidate where after their probation period they could enjoy a flexible work in the office/work from home schedule.


Unfortunately workers in not in possession of a current valid work permit or who only have a Student Visa cannot be considered for this role.


The Role Located in Kamloops BC


Working environment professional office setting

Assisting with Full Cycle Bookkeeping

o Accounts Payable

o Accounts Receivable

o Payroll

o Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations

o Government Remittances

o Cash Flow Management

o Yearend Preparations

Provide some general reception duties (answering phones correspondence filing etc)

Bank runs

Your Skills & Experience:


***Must have a minimum of 35 years on the job experience in a bookkeeping position managing multiple accounts***

***Must have experience working with Sage 50 or Simply Accounting***

***Preference will be given to an educational background in bookkeeping or accounting***

Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple accounts with conflicting priorities and deadlines

Selfstarter

Excellent demeanor in working with clients

Strong proficiency using MS Office suite of products particularly Excel
