Join Egan Companys Building Automation team as a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Service Applications Engineer! The BAS Service Applications Engineer will be responsible for meeting and expanding the ongoing needs of our building automation/temperature controls service business within the Automation Technology and Services Group.
Work in conjunction with the Dispatch Center answering Building Automation System (BAS) service calls leveraging industry expertise to diagnose and assist in dispatch of appropriate trade(s).
Provide preliminary call support by accessing systems remotely to determine root cause of issues and dispatching resources accordingly. Determine whether issues are warranty or service related. Follow call escalation processes and procedures to engage BAS Project Managers and Applications Engineers for issues requiring programming or systems rework if determined to be warranty.
Develop and maintain BAS customer site list for installed systems and remote connectivity information.
Assist Service Account Manager and Building Automation Account Managers with promoting Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Owner Directed (O/D) contracts. Provide technical support to aide in quoting those contracts.
Support BAS 24x7x365 on call schedule as an active participant. Maintain on call server for remote connectivity to all existing and new customer sites. Provide ongoing training for service technicians for remotely accessing key accounts.
Support and maintain BAS project and service personnel schedules through use of Dispatch board. Schedule come do service appointments based on need and Technician availability after providing preliminary call support.
Proactively investigate opportunities for improved building operation energy usage and control system operation for existing BAS customers and assist Acct Managers in quoting and pursuing those opportunities.
Actively promote upgrades of legacy systems to currently supported platforms and assist Acct Managers in quoting those opportunities.
Leverage come do service calls to generate small project pull through work for BAS group and other Egan divisions.
Provide Engineering support to execute projects that meet small project criteria acting in Applications Engineer capacity including assembling control submittals providing software and graphics supporting installing technicians and generating asbuilt documentation.
Assist Service Account Manager and Service Technicians to continually evaluate PM task lists and customer PM & O/D contracts to ensure customers ongoing maintenance needs are being met.
Provide technical support and ongoing training for BAS service personnel on installed systems
Promote all of Egan Companys offerings including: mechanical plumbing electrical building automation fire security systems and monitoring.
Promote Egan processes and be proactive in creating more efficient ways of operation
During periods of reduced service call volume act as an additional resource for the BAS projects team providing engineering and software support on an as needed basis.
At least 36 years of strong relevant experience within:
Building Automation and Control Systems
Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems
Energy Management
Engineering Applications
Installation Procedures
Working knowledge of diverse control platforms and system
Ability to present to both internal and external groups
Ability to multitask in a fast paced dynamic position
Proficient in MS Visio Word and Excel
Strong organizational skills to deal with large customer base
Strong communication and presentation skills for customer facing situations
Performance of duties will be in the office and/or at home customer sites and jobsites.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.

Salary Range: $85000$110000 (subject to such factors as experience education and/or skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus.
