Job Description
Merchandise Assistant
This is a contract opportunity.
This is a hybrid opportunity based in Framingham MA Inoffice required on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
About this position
Were seeking a detailoriented Merchandise Assistant to support 24 Buyers and an AVP Merchandise Manager. Youll serve as a key point of contact for over 50 vendors helping to manage purchase orders track shipments coordinate travel and organize internal communications. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain firsthand experience in merchandising logistics and vendor relations.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise domestic and import purchase orders using the Buyer Worksheet application.
- Track vendor shipments follow up on late deliveries and ensure timely and accurate order processing.
- Communicate with vendors daily regarding orders appointments and allocation questions.
- Coordinate internal travel meetings and vendor visits to the home office.
- Organize reports manage samples and support special projects as assigned.
Skills/Requirements
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with vendors and crossfunctional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software.
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
Additional Information
- Schedule: Fulltime hours Standard business hours
- Contract Duration: Temporary with potential to convert
Pay Range
Pay Rate: $23/hour
