Job Description
Merchandise Assistant
This is a contract position.
This is an onsite opportunity located in Framingham MA.
Are you organized detailoriented and ready to jump into the fastpaced world of retail merchandising In this role youll work closely with Buyers and Merchandise Managers to support key operations that ensure products get to the right place at the right time. Youll communicate with 50 vendors track purchase orders coordinate travel and help manage merchandise samplesall while gaining valuable handson experience in the retail industry.
Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare revise and track domestic and import purchase orders; ensure accuracy and required signatures.
Communicate with vendors daily to address PO issues allocations and shipping delays.
Coordinate travel and schedule vendor/agent visits for 25 Merchants and AVP.
Support crossfunctional teams and other departments with administrative tasks.
Manage preproduction sample process and maintain sample organization and displays.
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and followup with vendors and internal partners.
Ability to manage purchase orders using systems like Buyer Worksheet or similar tools.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel to track weekly spend and generate reports.
Comfortable with multitasking in a fastpaced teamoriented environment.
Work directly with Merchants and gain insider retail experience.
