College Work Study Under the Federal WorkStudy (FWS) Program students can earn money for their education by working parttime while enrolled in school either full or parttime. Federal WorkStudy funds are limited. Employment and/or positions are not guaranteed for all those who qualify or who apply.
ReadytoWork RTW is designed to assist parents participating in the Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (KTAP) to enroll and be successful students. The ReadytoWork Program provides a network of support services including outreach and recruitment education and career planning and retention strategies tutoring case management advocacy career coaching and work study job development placement and postplacement services. RTW participants also have access to all supportive services (such as transportation and child care) and other resources available through KCHFS/DCBS and other agencies.
NOTE: You must meet with a program coordinator for program eligibility PRIOR to completing this application. Once your eligibility has been determined the program coordinator will provide the guidelines for completing the application process for Student Employment.
