Job Description

The Project Site Supervisor will be based at a designated job site and be responsible for leading mediumlarge scale institutional and educational decarbonization projects $10M $30M retrofits) which includes managing all onsite operations subcontractors and stakeholder relationships. The role is focused on delivering projects on time within scope and on budget while upholding high safety and quality standards. The Project Site Supervisor will drive continuous project improvements and align with the clients Health and Safety Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging initiatives.

The Project Site Supervisor is the key on site point person for the client to ensure project management best practices proper documentation and the following of departmental processes are being met while driving customer satisfaction and internal profitability. The role requires close collaboration with the Project Management Team and Project Engineers to ensure project deliverables are met.

SCOPE OF WORK/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead construction management for renewable major industrial and higher education projects.
     
  • Oversee and manage onsite operations including subcontractors clients and stakeholders. 
  • Monitor project performance to ensure budget and schedule are met and construction period energy savings targets are achieved. 
  • Ensure safety quality and adherence to project timelines throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Manage scope changes technical challenges and project costs in line with budgets. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams from project design through to completion. 
  • Ensure on site compliance with project designs specifications and regulations. 
  • Maintain and strengthen client and project delivery team relationships to meet expectations and ensure satisfaction. 
  • Attend internal and external project meetings and prepare relevant presentation materials and reporting. 
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies on all assigned projects. 
  • Administer and guide project deliveries according to processes and policies. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management. 

Qualifications :

  • Post secondary education in Engineering Construction Management or equivalent
  • 13 years of onsite construction project management experience. 
  • Proficiency in managing largescale multimilliondollar projects. 
  • Proficiency in managing solar PV and renewable energy projects.
  • Experience in the ICI sector (hospital and institutional experience preferred). 
  • Have a good understanding of Ontario Health and Safety regulations and experience in implementing H&S policies at a job site. 
  • Ministry of Labour H&S training (Construction Supervisor Working at Heights Standard First aid)
  • Strong verbal and written communication negotiation and organizational skills. 
  • Proven problemsolving abilities especially with onsite technical challenges. 
  • Ability to effectively manage project scope costs and schedules. 
  • Strong critical thinking and decisionmaking skills under pressure. 
  • Thorough understanding of the Ontario Construction Act and CCDC project documentation. 
  • Current PMI certifications or enrollment in a PMI program is an asset. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams. 
  • Experience with construction management software including billing and scheduling. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project. 
  • Valid G Drivers license and ability to be onsite every day at the designated job site.
  • The contract will be June to August 2025.
