The Citadel the Military College of South Carolina is accepting applications for a pool of parttime Venue Coordinators in the Office of Event Management. This position will be responsible for coordination of external rental events at various venues on The Citadel campus and Isle of Palms.
Job responsibilities include oversight of the following:
Coordinators will need to apply critical thinking skills to address any issues that may arise during rental events. Ability to maintain a professional serviceoriented demeanor. Ability to communicate effectively. Coordinators must ensure that Citadel policies and procedures are always followed.
Minimum Qualifications
Supervision
Reports to Event Manager under minimal supervision. Must be able to work independently and exercise sound judgement and decision making. Administrative duties may be assigned by the Event Manager.
Additional Comments
The number of hours and events may vary due to demand. Evening and weekend hours are required. Weekly hours can range from 0 to 28 hours depending on the event calendar and the availability of coordinators. This is a pooled position with coordinators continuing to be hired to keep up with the demand of events. Coordinators will be notified of available shifts with the option to accept or decline once events are scheduled on the calendar.
