Job Description
Are you an RN who enjoys teaching others This Medical trainer position works during the week daytime hours training nonmedical employees. Our employees support people with developmental/intellectual disabilities at our homes. Come join our team and be a Difference Maker!
Saratoga Bridges is looking for an RN to train our nonmedical staff. There are a variety of training with topics including but not limited to Medical Topics Bloodborne Pathogens CPR and First Aid along with a New York State curriculum on Medication Administration.
Experience developing curriculum handouts and PowerPoint presentations are a key part of this role. Scheduling and conducting medical inservices too. This person provides some assistance in health initiatives such as Hepatitis B vaccines and flu clinics for employees.
This position requires:
- A valid drivers license
- Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint
- The candidate must hold a valid NYS Nursing license. Bachelors degree preferred.
- One year of experience working with people who have a DD/ID preferred.
- Experience conducting staff training in the field of nursing preferred.
We are an inclusive work environment with great colleagues and excellent benefits. This is a 30 hour a week position. The starting payrate for this position is $34.00 to $40.00 per hour.
