Job Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests and analyses on biological samples to diagnose diseases and monitor health conditions.
- Ensure quality control procedures are adhered to while performing tests and maintaining lab equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate laboratory results to aid in patient treatment plans.
- Maintain proper documentation of procedures and results ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in training and onboarding of new lab staff and assist in developing new lab procedures when necessary.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical technology and laboratory practices to enhance patient care services.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or equivalent via relevant certifying agency.
- Strong understanding of laboratory instruments and techniques.
- Knowledge of state and federal laboratory regulations and standards.
Desired Experience
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Experience in performing diagnostic tests operating laboratory equipment and interpreting test results.
- Proficiency in using laboratory information systems and electronic health record systems.
