Job Description
SIE is currently seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader for the Poughkeepsie area to lead bridge inspection projects for long span roadway and rail bridge inspection projects.
Responsibilities:
- Leads project inspection teams and coordinates teams and equipment
- Prepare inoffice support for field inspections such as development of inspection documentation forms prior to field work
- Perform field inspection duties and subsequent inspection reports in compliance with Client Requirements
- Client field liaison for field activities
- Enforce safe field operations
- Provides technical guidance to other staff members
- Travel to required project location(s)
- Active New York and New Jersey PE License required
- Bachelors in Civil Engineering
- At least 3 years of recent bridge experience in inspection as a Team Leader
- Current FHWA/NHI Bridge Inspection Training 2 Week Bridge Safety Training) and/or Refresher Course
- OSHA 30
- Physically capable of performing tasks associated with the position. Must be comfortable working at heights on ladders scaffolding and various aerial lifts and access equipment
- Familiarity with NYSDOT TBTA PANYNJ NYCT MNR LIRR and other NY and NJ agencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Microstation/AutoCAD skills
- Drivers License
Expected salary range is $93600 $156000 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individuals qualifications skills experience and physical work location.
