MINE ENGINEER
The main responsibilities of the Mine Engineer are providing production and development mine planning services to operations through daily interactions and by participating in scheduled meetings. Act as a subject matter expert in mining activities in order to provide value to operations.
Where will you work: Onsite at Carlsbad NM 76 Rawhide Rd. Loving NM 88256
Typical work schedule: 5am2pm MF 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off)
What youll do
- Deliver upon shortterm and longterm mine plans.
- Research development and project delivery to ensure operations efficiency.
- Partnering and supporting capital projects related to sustaining the life of the mine.
- Participate in safety and continuous improvement programs. Ensure compliance with all safety and mine regulations company policy and regulations.
- Provide engineering and miscellaneous support to management supervisors crews and contractors. Including report writing and documentation.
What youll need:
- Bachelors degree required major in Engineering (Mining Geological or Civil Engineering preferred).
- Underground experience would be an asset a general knowledge of electrical and mechanical workings would be a benefit as daytoday work involves facets of each.
- Microsoft Office Microsoft Project AutoCAD.
- Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workers.
- Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees.
- In this position there is a large amount of work that is passed down. Being able to organize and do jobs in order of importance in a key part of the job.
