Job Description
Our client in the steel industry is on a recruitment drive for a stock controller to join their team. The ideal candidate MUST have experience in the steel industry including Steel & Tubee and Fluid Control.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Receive and check stock to delivery notes
- Record damages and shrotages
- Seperate and record top and tails
- Generate return to supplier for approval and processing
- Confirm receipt to Purchase Order
- Indentify and mark branch stock according to purchase order
- Recive and collate pick notes
- Allocate pick notes to warehouse staff
- monitor status of pick notes
- Generate invoices on collection of goods
- check dispatch of stock to supplementary pick slips and invoices
- Record returns
- generate requests for credit notes for approval and processing
- Perform daily counts of stock
- Assist with stock counts
- General filing and administration
- Will take full responsibility for entire stock control functions
- 35 years experience in purchasing / stock control
- Sound Syspro experience advantageous
- MS Office 365 Excel (Intermediate skills)
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Valid drivers License
- Numerical skills and abilities
- Organized
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Sound product knowledge steel & tube / fluid control
- Good Planning skills
- Problem solving
