Job Description

  • 4 yrs. exp. in planning & administering health program(s) with experience to be commensurate with approved position description on file.

Or

  • Completion of graduate core program in field of public health health administration preventive medicine social work nursing or other healthrelated field or public policy & management/public administration or business administration;
  • 12 mos. exp. in planning & administering health program(s) with education & experience to be commensurate with approved position description on file.

Or

  • 12 mos. exp. as Health Planning Administrator 1 65245 with experience to be commensurate with approved position description on file.

Or

  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

EDUCATIONAL TRANSCRIPT REQUIREMENTS:
Official educational transcripts are required for all posthigh school educational accomplishments coursework or degrees claimed on the application. The Bureau of Health Improvement and Wellness (BHIW) is seeking a dedicated Health Planning Administrator 2 to manage the manage the Tobacco Use Prevention & Cessation Program (TUPCP). This position will:

The Bureau of Health Improvement and Wellness (BHIW) is comprised of programs which address prevention and improved health outcomes for Ohioans across the lifespan. BHIW includes programs that address chronic diseases prevent and reduce injuries promote access to health care and reduce health disparities. Program initiatives include the promotion of healthy eating and active living as well as the prevention of chronic diseases tobacco use child injuries sexual domestic violence and drug overdoses.

ALL ANSWERS TO THE SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONS MUST BE SUPPORTED BY THE WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PROVIDED ON YOUR CIVIL SERVICE APPLICATION.

Unless required by legislation the selected candidate will begin at Pay Grade 14 Step 1 of the Exempt Pay Range Schedule $37.53 per hour) with an opportunity for pay increase after six months $39.67 of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
