Residence Hall Assistant Summer Piano Institute
Job Summary
Temporary livein positions from July 3 July 12 2025.
Responsibilities
A Summer Piano Institute Residence Hall Assistant is responsible for providing supervision and guidance to students who stay overnight in Ithaca College residence halls.
Duties include ensuring the physical safety and overall wellbeing of participants; checkingin with students at each meal; running a daily recreation activity; assisting with the piano and musical needs of the participants; assisting faculty as needed; serving as a role model for students both personally and professionally; and keeping the Faculty Director advised of any conflicts accidents and disciplinary problems in the residence hall.
Qualifications
Candidates should express genuine interest in working with a diverse group of students in a residence hall environment and have a basic understanding of human social and educational development. Candidates with prior experience working with youth in a camp environment a history of providing leadership to a variety of age groups and the ability to foster the development of a community through a variety of methods preferred. Allcounselors are required to attend a health and safety meeting and be able to practice and adhere to the methods and guidelines as stated in the Ithaca College Safety and Medical Plan. Preference will be given to current Ithaca College students. Advanced piano skills required.
Candidate must be a current Ithaca College student.
Compensation
Salary of $1730 for 10 days.
