Job Description: Product Manager (Safety Domain)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager to take charge of all aspects of safety for the YouTrip app. Keeping our users safe and worryfree while they travel is a top priority for us and we are constantly investing more in combatting the everevolving scam and fraud landscape. Your work will be instrumental in helping YouTrip to grow and scale in a way that keeps our users safe while providing the best experience to our customers. You will need to collaborate crossfunctionally as well as with other Product Teams and find the right balance between safety and a frictionless user experience.
You will:
- Be the product owner of a high impact team focusing on all aspects of safety as we grow the depth and sophistication of our safety features. This includes both userfacing features and internal tooling.
- Minimize the cases/financial loss due to fraud/scam while ensuring users continue to have a smooth experience with minimal friction and frustration.
- Collaborate tightly with our fraud monitoring team customer service and other teams to find the right solutions (these may need creative thinking).
- Implement fraud tooling and solution to increase effectiveness of our translation monitoring operation
- Help us stay ahead of fraudsters and scammers and respond quickly to new typologies of scam/fraud as they emerge.
- Understand business needs & stakeholders directions managing resources & lead overall product direction for your team
- Plan prioritize and define the roadmap to create a great safety experience and necessary security platform development
- Be the domain expert on all aspects of product safety
- Provide nuanced assessments on tough questions on best solutions tradeoffs between options (build vs. buy technology solutions) and work crossteam to ensure we have alignment and buyin as we rapidly deliver.
You have:
- 47 years of work experience in product management ideally with exposure to FinTech and Safety/Security issues
- Proven track record of crossfunctionally collaboration and on complex issues and making sound decisions rapidly
- Strong knowledge of product processes and operation process enhancements as well as experience working with both mobile and web applications with good UI/UX intuition/acumen
- A passion for combating fraud and scam activity
